How do I look after my brows?
How to Look After Your brow sculpt
Avoid Touching or Wetting Your Brows for 24 Hours
Let your skin settle and the tint or dye fully develop. This is especially important if we used hybrid dye, which stains both the skin and hair for a bolder, longer-lasting finish. Avoid water, steam, heavy sweating, and skincare around the area for the first 24 hours.
Be Gentle With Skincare Products
Skip any exfoliating or active products (like AHAs, BHAs, or retinol) near your brows for at least 72 hours. These can fade your tint or cause irritation, especially after waxing. To help the skin stain last longer, avoid active skincare directly on the brows for the first 2 weeks.
Skip Makeup Over the Area for the First Day (hybrid dye only)
Give the skin and dye time to settle. Brow pencils or powders can interfere with the stain, and makeup removers may cause it to fade prematurely.
Brush & Nourish Daily
Keep your brows soft and in shape by brushing them daily with a spoolie. A conditioning serum or keratin treatment (available in the studio) helps support hair health and can help the dye to last longer.
Expect the Skin Stain to Fade Sooner Than the Hair
If we used hybrid dye, the skin stain will gradually fade over several days, while the colour on the brow hairs will last longer. This is completely normal.
For tint, the skin stain should only last 1-2 washes.
Avoid Heat, Chlorine & Excess Sun Exposure
Swimming pools, saunas, and UV exposure can all fade your colour faster. Try to avoid them for at least a couple of days post-treatment.
Don’t Tweeze Between Appointments
Resist the urge to pluck stray hairs. It’s best to leave shaping to your brow artist so I can maintain the ideal shape and structure at each visit. If you absolutely must, please stick to strays very outside of the shape only.
-
Most clients book every 4–6 weeks to keep their shape clean and defined. This timing allows us to maintain your ideal brow structure without over-tweezing or letting things grow out too much between visits.
I’ve set my pricing to allow for more regular appointments, because there’s nothing worse than grown-out, messy brows. We want them looking their best all the time, without needing to space it out just because it’s too pricey. -
Regular tint lasts 1-2 washes on the skin and around 2–3 weeks on the hair, while hybrid dye can last up to 6 weeks on the hair and around 5–10 days on the skin (depending on your skin type and aftercare). Everyone’s fade time is a little different, but I’ll help you choose the best option for your goals.
-
If we used hybrid dye, avoid getting your brows wet for the first 24 hours, this includes steam, sweating, and skincare. If we used regular tint, you don’t need to be as cautious, but it’s still best to avoid heavy water exposure right away to get the longest-lasting results.
-
That’s completely normal! The skin stain from hybrid dye is designed to give a filled-in look but naturally fades quicker than the colour on the brow hairs. This soft fade helps the brows transition gradually rather than looking patchy or harsh as they wear.
-
Absolutely! If you’re a fan of the skin stain (and many people are), you’re welcome to pop in more regularly for a hybrid dye-only appointment to refresh the colour.
You can come every 2–3 weeks to keep that freshly filled-in look, and alternate with a full brow sculpt every second or third visit depending on your hair growth. It’s a great way to keep your brows looking sharp without over-waxing.
